SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Strasburg man was arrested after a traffic stop on Saturday.
The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office says that on January 10th, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in the area of the Old Valley Pike and Millner Rd, in Strasburg, in which the driver gave consent to the search of the vehicle.
A further investigation was conducted which led to Methamphetamine and a firearm being recovered.
The driver, identified as Christopher Anthony Rutz of Strasburg, VA was charged with:
18.2-250: Possession of a Sch. I or II Controlled Substance
18.2-308.4: Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Sch. I or II Controlled Substance
46.2-804: Failure to Maintain Lane
Deputies arrested Rutz and transported him to the Rappahannock Shenandoah Warren (RSW) Regional Jail where he was released on a secure bond.
