WOODSTOCK, Va – Cleanup continued Monday in Woodstock after thunderstorms ripped through the town Friday afternoon, knocking down trees and power lines. The good news is that all power has been restored.

A line of storms went through late Friday afternoon and left streets in the downtown area littered with fallen branches and debris.

The tree trunk at the intersection of Main Street and Court Street snapped in two. Town crews were able to remove that this morning.

The pool at Riley Park suffered significant damage, especially in the children’s play area, although it did reopen on Sunday.
