The folks in charge of the Sheetz gas station and convenience store chains are dropping gas prices in a big way for the Fourth of July.

Throughout the day, gas prices at Sheetz – except for diesel – will honor the year the Declaration of Independence was adopted.  That will put the cost of fueling up at 17-76.  That’s one-dollar and 77-six-tenths per gallon.

Company CEO Travis Sheetz says in a statement that they hope the discount will help customers as they travel to celebrate the 4th of July, “with an obvious nod to the nation’s birthday.”
