A date has been set for the grand jury hearing of an 18-year-old Charlottesville man accused of shooting another teen in the Stuarts Draft area.

Amavion Andre Barbour will go before an Augusta County Circuit Court grand jury on July 24th to face a felony charge of reckless handling a firearm causing serious injury.

Authorities say Barbour was in the backseat of a vehicle back on May 14th when the gun he was holding went off and the bullet struck a fellow 18-year-old who was sitting in the front seat at the time.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital while Barbour remains held without bond.
