HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Average gas prices over Thanksgiving slipped to a 5-year Turkey Day low of 2.97 per gallon.

Gas Buddy’s Patrick De Haan reports that all 50 states saw gas prices decline on the lead up to the holiday with Ohio seeing the most dramatic change in the nation with a 22-cent drop.

Data indicates that average U.S. gas prices fell even farther Friday morning to 2.96 per gallon which is the lowest level since May 9th, 2021.

Currently, the lowest price of gas today in the Harrisonburg area is 2.49 a gallon.
