AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Free bus rides are available to Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro residents today in celebration of this year’s “Try Transit Day.”

Augusta County announced that BRITE Bus Transit will waive all fares on all routes today throughout the service area.

In an online post, BRITE bus officials stated that today is a “perfect chance for community members to catch that bus ride to work, the store, or an appointment, that they have always thought about taking.”

The company says they seek to offer safe, dependable, and easy-to-use transit services to everyone in the area.
