AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — An Augusta County man has been arrested for allegedly discarding many used tires into Middle River earlier in the summer.

According to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, Dustin Wayne Kesterson of Verona was arrested Thursday on a misdemeanor charge of “Dumping Along the Highway.”

On June 30th, Sheriff Donald Smith asked for the public’s help locating a suspect who had allegedly dumped trash – including an estimated 50 to 60 used tires – into Middle River from locations on Bold Rock and River Bend Roads.

The 32-year-old Kesterson will appear in General District Court on September 11th.
