RICHMOND, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Glenn Youngkin is following President Trump’s Presidential Proclamation to lower United States flags to half-staff on all state and local buildings and grounds.

The order comes in memory and respect of victims of the Minnesota school shooting that took place on Wednesday, August 27.

Youngkin has also ordered Commonwealth of Virginia flags to be flown at half-staff.

Flags should be lowered on Wednesday, August 27, and remain at half-staff until sunset on August 31.
