FISHERSVILLE, VA (Rocktown Now) — The first Wawa in the Augusta County area held a grand opening celebration Friday morning.

The popular gas station is located on Tinkling Spring Road near the intersection of Goose Creek Road in Fishersville.

The latest opening continues the saturation of the Philadelphia-based stores throughout Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.

Wawa has over 100 stores in the commonwealth and is scheduled to open more stores in Elkton and Staunton later this year.

The grand opening featured free t-shirts for the first 100 customers as well as free coffee all day.
