WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Waynesboro Police Department has arrested 23-year-old Tyleik Cabell of Waynesboro in connection with the ongoing road rage investigation involving the shooting of a 16-year-old male.

Cabell turned himself in at the Waynesboro Police Department on Thursday, August 7, where he was served with a felony warrant (18.2-154) for maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle.

Following his arrest, Cabell was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

On Sunday, August 3, at 3:29 PM, Waynesboro officers responded to Moonshine Market at 1001 E Main Street following a report of a gunshot victim. They found a 16-year-old male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, who was subsequently transported to UVA Hospital. Initial findings suggest the incident stemmed from a road rage altercation in the 700 block of North Commerce Avenue.
