ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Route 33 project in western Rockingham County is finishing up over the next few weeks.
Ken Slack from the Virginia Department of Transportation says contractors are putting the finishing touches on the project along Route 33, Rawley Pike, heading up the mountain towards the West Virginia line. Drivers are getting curve improvements, better sight distance, and a truck climbing lane.
Slack adds to be alert for shoulder closures and occasional traffic flagging.
