FISHERSVILLE VA (Rocktown Now) — On Friday, July 11, deputies from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported disturbance on J. Ranch Lane in Fishersville.

Deputies found that a verbal altercation occurred between the parties regarding a business transaction.

James Y. Have, 51-years-old, of Waynesboro followed the victims to their residence, removed their mailbox from the post, and initiated a confrontation. Have reportedly brandished a firearm before leaving the area in his vehicle once more people showed up on the scene.

Have is charged with eight counts in total, including: trespassing, destruction of property, assault, and five counts of brandishing a firearm. He was then transported to Middle River Regional Jail and held without bond at the time of his arrest.

He was later released on July 14th by order of the Augusta County General District Court.

This incident remains under investigation.
