HARRISONBURG VA (Rocktown Now) — Virginia Momentum is hosting their “Valley 4th RUN” on Friday, July 4 in Downtown Harrisonburg.

The Valley 4th run is known for its 40-foot inflatable slip-n-slide finish line and its chip-timed race, allowing you to pick your distance.

This event begins at 8:00 a.m. in Downtown Harrisonburg with event options of 1.5 miles, a 5k, or a 10k to participate in. VA Momentum says racers and strollers are welcomed and encouraged to participate as well.

Riner Rentals will have a freeze-pop station alongside the running course. Additional support from Dr. David Glazer (chiropractor) and DuPont Community Credit Union.

The deadline for registration online is Thursday, July 3, with a packet pick-up at Pale Fire Brewing. Walk-up registration at the event will be available and includes a $5 price increase.

Pre-registration prices are: 1.5 miles: $27, 5k: $32, and 10k: $37.
