Will we see severe thunderstorms today?
HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Both the temperature and the humidity will be increasing today into Thursday as a warm front moves over the Shenandoah Valley. Strong to severe thunderstorms could fire up with the warm and moist atmosphere, especially on Thursday, ahead of a cold front arriving. We should see a break from the humidity at least on Friday, but then the temperatures climb into the upper 80’s and low 90’s on Saturday and humidity levels will rise again. Sunday, into next week, temperatures will soar into the low and mid 90’s and the combination with the humidity, will make it feel closer to 100 degrees.
