STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) – A Staunton man has been taken into custody on assault and battery charges involving a family member.

According to online records, Jamar Lee Davis of Staunton was arrested today, June 5, 2025, on felony charges of Abuse and Neglect of Children-Disregard for Life and Assault and Battery of a Family Member.

The chargeable offenses allegedly took place December 18, 2024.

The 31-year-old has a bond hearing at 3:00 p.m. in Waynesboro Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.

Davis’ Preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 28th.
