RICHMOND, VA (Rocktown Now) — Governor Glenn Youngkin has ordered flags to fly at half-staff on Sunday. This will be in honor of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service Day.

All United States of America flags and Commonwealth of Virginia flags should be lowered at sunrise on Sunday, May 4 and remain at half-staff until sunset.

Youngkin said in a release, “we remember all the firefighters who were killed in the line of duty and made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their communities.”
