Governor Glenn Youngkin spent last night under a national spotlight, taking part in a CNN Town Hall.

Appearing on stage with moderator Jake Tapper, the conversation touched on signature issues championed by the governor. He defended an executive order from last year banning Critical Race Theory from commonwealth schools and stood against new gun laws in the wake of the Richneck Elementary shooting.

Responding to a question from a transgender teen, Youngkin reiterated his belief that schools should notify parents if their child comes out as non-binary.

However, Youngkin demurred on questions about his political future – including a potential presidential run next year.
