HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – The application cycle for a local scholarship program closes this week.
Ann Siciliano, Senior Director of Scholarships and Grants for the Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, says that 26 scholarships and nearly $1 million in funding are available to support academic or vocational studies.
“Many of these are renewable scholarships for high school seniors primarily,” said Siciliano. “We have one that’s specific for a graduate student at EMU or one for community college transfer students. We even have an award for high school juniors in Rockingham County.”
Last year, the Community Foundation scholarship program supported students from 15 area high schools and several community colleges, including three scholars from Blue Ridge Community College, Harrisonburg High School, and Strasburg High School.
The application window closes this Thursday.
