NEW ORLEANS (JMU Athletics) — James Madison senior Coleman Calabrese hit a blistering .611 in four games, as he was tabbed Tuesday afternoon as the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

The Bowie, Md. native was 11-for-18 at the plate during the week, recording an OPS of 1.555 while also connecting on two homers.

Calabrese recorded hits in all four games, registering three hits against Richmond and in game three at Louisiana. He also tied his career-high of four hits in the middle game of the series with the Ragin’ Cajuns. In addition to recording a hit in all four games, he knocked in a run in three of the games.

The senior currently leads the team in batting average (.284), home runs (three) and RBIs (12) while now increasing his multi-hit games tally to five.
