STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) – The City of Staunton has announced that residents can dispose of large, bulky items such as old appliances, furniture, and household goods simply by placing them at the curb.

Crews began collecting items this morning at 7:00 a.m. and will continue over a two-week period, completing all pickups by April 4th.

Officials warn that hazardous waste, including pesticides, oil-based paint, and chemicals will not be accepted, nor will electronics, tires, or building materials.

Heavy trash service is available to residential trash customers only.
