HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – The Harrisonburg Police Department’s security on social media has been breached.

According to a Facebook message posted at 11:29 Sunday morning, March 23, 2025, HPD’s X account, formerly known as Twitter, has been compromised.

No other information was disclosed in the announcement other than to warn residents not to click any links posted by the Harrisonburg Police Department account or accept any message requests, follow requests, and so on until the issue has been resolved.
