(WASHINGTON, D.C.) Some dairy farmers in the Valley may be eligible for more money through a pandemic assistance program.
Federal officials announced that additional payments are now available for dairy producers whose products dropped in value during the pandemic because of “market abnormalities.”
U-S-D-A says dairy farms that produced 5-to-9-million pounds of fluid milk sales from July to December 2020 are eligible for this second round of funding. This 6-month window had initially been left out of the program.
