A Rockingham Couty dairy farmer is headed to a leadership position with Farm Credit of the Virginias.

 

In a release yesterday, the cooperative agency announced that Kevin Craun was named vice chairperson of the board. He’s a co-owner of a 900-acre dairy operation in Rockingham County.

 

Craun also serves as director and chairperson of the Shenandoah Valley Soil and Water Conservation District.

 

According to the release, he first joined the Farm Credit board in 2017.

 

Farm Credit of the Virginias says it’s provided two billion dollars in financing to 12-thousand farms across Virginia, West Virginia and western Maryland.
