WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Waynesboro man has been arrested after firing shots at an occupied building.

According to Waynesboro police, at approximately 1pm on Friday, February 28, officers responded to a report of gunshots at 305 E. Main Street. Upon arrival officers determined that the alleged offender had left the scene before their arrival.

During the investigation, officers identified the suspect as Domanik Saje Trohon, who allegedly discharged a bullet into the structure. Officers were able to obtain an address for Trohon in a neighboring jurisdiction, leading to his subsequent arrest.

Trohon has been charged with the following alleged offenses:

• § 18.2-279(F) – Maliciously shooting at an occupied dwelling or building
• § 18.2-308.2(F) – Possession of a firearm by a convicted non-violent felon
• § 18.2-56.1(M) – Reckless handling of a firearm
