HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg firefighters were dispatched Friday morning to a house fire on Moffett Terrace near the intersection of Port Republic road.
Fire Chief Matt Tobia explains that crews were dispatched at around 10:15 and when they arrived, they found smoke showing from the front of the home.
Tobia added that nobody was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
However, a preliminary estimate puts damage at around 50-thousand dollars to the contents of the structure.
The cause of the fire was accidental as a result of overheating elements in the living room area.
