HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – An area of low pressure will move north into the Carolinas and off the coast, stay to the south of us Wednesday into early Thursday.  Meanwhile, another low tracking to our north will move over the valley Thursday.  Combined the two will result in light snow late Wednesday into Thursday.  While accumulations of snow will be light in parts of the valley, especially north of Harrisonburg, what snow does fall will stick and make for slippery roads.  The heaviest snow will stay to our south and east, with some parts of Virginia recieving 6-12 inches.

Arctic cold will continue through Thursday before high pressure builds in for the weekend along with milder tempertures.
