AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va – Virginia State Police continue to investigate a fatal weekend crash in Augusta County.

Spokesperson Shelby Crouch reported the accident happened just before seven o’clock Sunday morning when a 2016 Ford F-350 was traveling south on White Hill Road when it crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2014 Toyota Tundra.

The driver of the Toyota 32-year-old Kossi Fiavi of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania died at the scene while the driver of the Ford 19-year-old Bryan Martinez-Chavez of Waynesboro was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A passenger in the Ford was also hospitalized with serious injuries.

Chavez was charged with failure to maintain control.

Crouch added that fatigue was a possible factor in the crash.
