HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Residents from Harrisonburg’s Northeast Neighborhood are being asked for input to help create a “Small Area Plan.”

The Harrisonburg Community Connectors project, a partnership between the City of Harrisonburg and various local groups, intends to collect community feedback through an online survey and an upcoming engagement session.

Director of Communications Michael Parks says nobody knows what’s best for the neighborhood than the people who live and work there. “Your voice has to be the driving factor in order to make sure this effort is a success, because nobody knows the Northeast Neighborhood and what’s best for it than the people who live and work there. Together we can create a small area plan that prioritizes the needs, wants and desires of community members today and for many years to come.”

The community survey is available at the City’s website, and the public meeting is February 15th at the Lucy F. Simms Continuing Education Center.
