HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – The Mineral Museum at James Madison University announced that the latest exhibit added to their catalogue of over 600 gemstone and crystal specimens from around the world is the Joshua B. West Meteorite Collection.
According to an online release, the exhibition features rare impact glass formed by meteorite energy and a significant meteorite fragment discovered in Augusta County in 1859.
The Mineral Museum is located on Carrier Drive in Harrisonburg and admission is free.
