STAUNTON, VA (Virginia Department of Transportation) — The Virginia Department of Transportation is conducting an online survey regarding Route 259 (Mayland Road) between U.S. 11 (Valley Pike) in Rockingham County and Broadway Avenue in the Town of Broadway.
The survey is part of the Route 259 Strategically Targeted and Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) study to evaluate transportation needs and develop recommendations. The goal of this STARS study is to identify improvement recommendations to enhance safety and mobility for all users of the transportation system.
The brief survey requests input on how you use Route 259 and your perspective on the current transportation conditions, challenges, and opportunities for the roadway.
Final study recommendations will be considered by the county and town for advancement through state or federal transportation funding programs.
The survey is open until Monday, January 20.
