HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Rocktown Now would like to issue a correction on this story. It was previously reported that the federal judge had dismissed the story. However, the federal judge denied temporary injunction filed by a Shenandoah County man over speed cameras that are located on East Market Street.
Scott Boger of Mount Jackson filed the lawsuit in October after he received a ticket back in July because his vehicle was clocked traveling 44 miles per hour in the 25 mile-per-hour zone on Route 33 at the Interstate 81 interchange.
Boger argued that he was not the driver of the vehicle at the time and while his ticket in general district court was dismissed, U.S. District Court Jasmine Yoon issued a ruling Tuesday denying temporary injunction for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
