AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with a recent theft that occurred at Augusta Expo in Fishersville.

In a release, Sheriff Donald Smith said that on Sunday, November 17, at approximately 4:30 pm, a vendor displaying his items at the gun show was loading items into his pick-up truck in the parking lot near the entrance of the main building of Augusta Expo. Video footage shows two individuals standing where the vendor was loading items onto his truck. A female approached the vendor, and another male approached the vendor’s truck and took a briefcase belonging to the vendor. Inside the briefcase were several valuable coins valued at over $20,000.00. The suspects are seen leaving the area in a Black Nissan SUV.
