Trovillo Stanley “Bill” Miller, 102, of Fulks Run passed away November 17, 2024 at the Life Care Center in New Market.
He was born April 5, 1922 in Fulks Run to the late Claude Harper and Sarah Hess Miller.
Bill was the last surviving charter member of the Fulks Run Ruritan Club where he served as a past president. A life member of both the Broadway Rescue Squad and Hebron Mennonite Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and led music up until his failing health. Bill was an avid golfer, playing up until his 90th birthday.
On September 20, 1941 he married the former Treva Ethel Miller who preceded him in death on June 20, 2019.
Surviving are sons, Garry Miller and wife Peggy of Rockingham, Carroll Miller and wife Diana of Luray; daughters, Linda Miller and husband Carson of Fulks Run, Darlene Billhimer and husband Dale of Broadway; grandchildren, Melody Cash(Vincent), Cheryl Mullens(Brad), Jason Miller(Mindy), Brandon Billhimer(Shanna); 10 great grandchildren; brother, Robert “Bob” Miller of Fulks Run; sister, Arlene Bare of Fulks Run, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie and Carl Miller; a brother, Wayne Miller.
Pastors Mark Conley and Lane Turner will conduct a graveside service at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Mtn. Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the Hebron Mennonite Church in Fulks Run.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
