STAUNTON, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The United Way of Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro has paused operations due to “increasing costs and declining revenues.”

The announcement was made Thursday in a press release, stating the board will work with the United Way Worldwide and local United Way affiliates to determine the best path forward.

According to a post on the organization’s website, officials state that they want to ensure the community continues to have access to critical support and services. Individuals in need of help are asked to call 2-1-1 or visit 211.org.
