Jonathan Wesley Beam, 54, of Rockingham, passed away October 31, 2024 at his home. He was born July 9, 1970 in West Virginia and was the son of the late Floyd Beam and Betty Beam, who survives.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Rocky Beam and Floyd Beam, Jr.; brother-in-law, Richard Hinson.

Jonathan was employed at George’s Food in Harrisonburg, VA for many years where he made many great friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed exploring the outdoors and had a deep love for animals, especially for the several dogs he had in his lifetime. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Betty Beam; daughter, Melia Shifflett and husband Jeremy; three grandchildren; brothers; Charles Beam and Travis Beam; sisters; Elsie Hinson, Deborah Eckard and husband Shannon; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friends, Aracely Najarro, Leslie Bailey and Mark Smith.

A memorial visitation will be conducted 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
