HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Open Doors and the City of Harrisonburg are searching for temporary shelter alternatives for people who are homeless.
The Navigation Center opening has been delayed due to fireproofing and the organization urgently needs a space that can serve as a fixed shelter site.
In a release, Executive Director Nate Riddle says they’re looking for any entities with an empty building or underutilized space that could serve as a temporary shelter site for 20-40 beds this month, until the Center is open.
