STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Staunton Fire and Rescue, with the help of Augusta Fire and Rescue are investigating a fire that occurred this morning at Betsy Bell Park in Staunton.
In a social media post, Staunton Fire and Rescue said crews responded to a fire shortly after 5 am. Crews remained on scene for approximately 3 hours extinguishing the fire.
Approximately 2 to 3 acres were burned.
The cause is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact them.
