Suzanne Jennifer Terschueren, age 57, of Kaarst, Germany, formerly of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Germany. She was born December 20, 1966 and was the daughter of the late Dr. H. Luke Eye and Elsie Peppel Eye.

Suzanne graduated from Franklin High School, received a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, and a Master of Business Administration degree at James Madison University. She worked in Dayton, Ohio where she met her former husband, Joerg Terschueren. She moved to Germany with him and learned to speak German fluently. She worked for international companies such as NRC and NEC and quickly became integrated into German society, while also becoming President of the International Women’s Club in Dusseldorf. She moved back to Harrisonburg, VA in 2005 with her two children, Aviana and Noah. She held various jobs in real estate and marketing and was a long-time member of the Spotswood Country Club. Suzanne was an avid golfer, enjoyed skiing, and harbored a love for animals, especially her two cats, Sweetie and Gizmo.

She is survived by a daughter, Aviana N. Terschueren of Norfolk and a sister, Elizabeth A. “Betsy” Smith and husband, Elwood of Upper Tract, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Noah Terschueren and by her brother, Andrew Eye.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Woodbine Cemetery, in Harrisonburg, with Pastor Terry Wyant-Vargo officiating.
