AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – It is two and a half years in prison for the man who tried to hijack a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 last fall and then led authorities on a high-speed chase.
According to online records. Jacob Falso of Freeville, New York, reached a plea deal with prosecutors by pleading guilty to five of the seven charges against him, including felony eluding.
Falso, 31, was sentenced this week in Augusta County Circuit Court.
The incident happened Oct. 11 last year in Shenandoah County. A spokesperson for the state police described what happened at the time after a 2004 Toyota Camry had parked in front of the truck that was stopped on shoulder near mile marker 267.
Afterwards, Falso led authorities on a chase southbound on I-81 until he crashed his vehicle near Fairfield.
