STAUNTON, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A Staunton man is in custody following a shooting incident Tuesday afternoon.
Sergeant Christopher Ammons reported in a news release that at around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to multiple calls for shots fired in the 1700 block of W. Beverley Street.
Wilfredo Emmanuel Vazquez-Velazquez was identified as the suspect and subsequently taken into custody.
Velazquez, 33, was charged with 10 counts, including attempted second-degree murder as well as shooting into an occupied dwelling. He is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
There were no reports of injuries.
