MANNA FoodBank Involving, educating, and uniting people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina.

Local efforts are underway to help the victims of the devastating flooding in North Carolina and Tennessee.  To help get the word out, here at Harrisonburg Media Group, we will be announcing on-air, as well as posting here on Rocktown Now, drop-off locations where you can leave donations.

A Hurricane Disaster Relief will be held at Augusta Expo in Fishersville, Sunday December 8th from 12 until 7 p.m. Featuring live music by The Skillbilly’s and guests. Food for sale, a bake sale, silent auction and raffles. Pictures with Santa and facepainting too.

Donations of the following will be accepted. Water, self-sustainable food, vitamins, pet food, hygiene products, paper products, batteries, flashlights and transistor radios. Tarps, bungee cords and Ratchet straps. New empty gas cans. Clothing from babies to adults and shoes over the counter medication first aid supplies, blankets and pillows, cleaning supplies and anything else you can think of because it is all needed. Donations will be delivered to those in need by the “Good Ole Boys Convoy for a Crisis. Organized by Jay Botkin of Broke Motor Sports call 540-487-5555
