HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The man suspected in a shooting earlier this year on North Main Street in Harrisonburg will have a date with the grand jury.

According to online records, Alexander Ramos Perez waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning. A judge then certified three felony charges, including malicious wounding, to a circuit court grand jury.

Authorities charged Ramos-Perez in connection with shooting that took place during the early morning hours on March 31.

A 19-year-old Rockingham County woman was injured as a result. She was treated at Sentara RMH Medical Center before being released a short time later.
