Wilson Jacobo Encarnacion, 34, of Harrisonburg, passed away, Monday, September 9, 2024, at Sentara RMH Medical Center, due to injuries sustained by a motorcycle accident.
Wilson was born December 31, 1989, in Dominican Republic. Wilson was such a happy baby. We called him “goat” because he was always jumping around. He was a true momma’s boy. He was a caring, thoughtful and strong-minded person. He was a positive person and was always looking forward. He was a family man and community oriented; he was loved by many. Family says that his personality couldn’t be beat and he wasn’t scared to be himself. He was funny and always laughing and always making jokes. He knew how to make everyone comfortable. He was a brother to all and an amazing son. He enjoyed MMA, baseball and dancing. Towards the end of his life, he made the decision to dedicate his life to Islam. Most of all he was a family man. His story will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who felt his love and grace, he will be truly missed.
He will be missed by his mother, Juderka O. Encarnacion and husband Larry Francis; father, Luis Jacobo Luna; grandmother, Alejandrina Sanchez; aunts, Gladis Encarnacion and Carmen Sanchez; uncle, Fausto Alcantara and his sons and daughters; brothers, Jonathan Jacobo and wife, Ashley Brown, Jose Sierra and wife, Reyna, Miguel Sierra and wife, Cecilia Vargas, Manuel Trinidad and wife, Quashawn Mabry, Steven Sanchez Encarnacion, and Kelvin Duverge Encarnacion.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Kyger Funeral Home Harrisonburg.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday morning at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
