HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Officials with Harrisonburg Public Works say they will have a great presence at this year’s American Public Works Association Conference.Harrisonburg was selected as one of 10 Public Works departments in the Nation to be featured by video for Harrisonburg’s innovative practices that help build connectivity and community. Mayor Deanna Reed was in the video that is being showcased at this week’s conference in Atlanta titled, “Building Community through Innovative and Sustainable Practices in Public Works.”

“What makes us very unique is our diversity,” Reed said in the video. “We have people that come from all over the world that come to Harrisonburg and makes Harrisonburg their home. We are a growing city, but we still have that intimate feel. We are still a family.”
