HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A suspect who was riding in a vehicle allegedly stolen from the Charlottesville area and crashed into a Harrisonburg Police cruiser last month was expected to appear in court Monday morning.
However, online records indicated that both sides agreed to continue the preliminary hearing for Diquan Grooms, 18, until Nov. 26 in Harrisonburg General District Court.
Grooms faces two charges, including carrying a concealed a weapon, in connection with the Aug. 24 incident. He remains free on bond. Meanwhile, the other suspect, a 16-year-old juvenile, faces six charges, including two counts of felony hit and run, eluding and possession a stolen firearm.
