Okley Mae Lam Breeden, 93, of Elkton, went home to her Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Harrisonburg. Mrs. Breeden was born August 13, 1931 in Harrisonburg, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Maggie Dean Lam.
Okley was a 1949 graduate of Elkton High School. She was an avid member of Blue Ridge Independent Church. She loved flowers, nature and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending family reunions. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
On June 3, 1950 she married Ivan Chalmer Breeden who preceded her in death on November 26, 2012.
Mrs. Breeden is survived by a son, Preston L. Breeden and friend, Beverly Shifflett of Elkton; daughter, Gail Herring and husband, Buddy of Elkton; grandchildren, Jonathan Breeden, Benjamin Breeden, Whit Herring; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Samuels and Canton Breeden and fiancée, Makenzie Lawson; her beloved grand dog, “Bailey”.
A Graveside Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Elk Run Cemetery with Pastor Danny Herring officiating.
