Maria Trinidad Rodriguez de Rocha, 75, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday August 3, 2024 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center.

Maria was born on July 13, 1949 in Durango, Mexico and was a daughter of the late Manuel Rodriguez and Carmen Gonzalez. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Maria was a very devoted catholic who could often be found praying. She was very friendly and outgoing and was loved by her family and close friends. Maria was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rufino Rocha Gonzalez.

In addition to her husband, Maria is survived by her children, Manuel Rocha, Gloria Elena Rocha, Melina Bravo Rocha, Maria Rocha Rodriguez, Jose Rocha Rodriguez, Rufino Rocha Rodriguez; her siblings, Graciela Rodriguez, Felipe Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jesus Rodriguez; grandson, Ricky Valencia Rocha, and a granddaughter, Gloria Trinidad Lopez Rocha.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday August 7, 2024 at 12 PM with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating.

The family will receive friends following the mass on Wednesday August 7, 2024 from 5 until 8 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
