ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Rockingham County man who was charged in connection with a shooting in Waynesboro over Memorial Day weekend will have to wait a little longer before his case moves forward.

The attorney hearing for Dustin Allen Dove, of McGaheysville, was set for Tuesday afternoon but was continued for the third time since his arrest in May. He is scheduled to appear in Waynesboro General District on September 17

Dove, 23, faces two felony counts, including malicious assault following a shooting incident on May 25 in the 1300 block of D street.

The victim, Seth Wayne Wallace, 22, of Waynesboro, died a few weeks later.

The Waynesboro Commonwealth’s Attorney office continues to examine the details to decide whether further charges will be filed.  In the meantime, Dove remains in custody.
