HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Triple-A Mid-Atlantic is reporting gas prices in Harrisonburg dropped a nickel a gallon this week and now average $3.48 a gallon.

That is a penny a gallon less than last month but a penny a gallon more than at this time last year.

However, that $3.48 average is seven cents lower than the state average of $3.41.

The travel agency stated that the cheapest markets to buy gas include the Tidewater and Roanoke areas.
