AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A plea date has been set for the man accused of trying to hijack a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 last year before leading authorities on a high-speed chase.

According to online records, an Augusta County Circuit Court judge selected August 29 as the date for the plea hearing for Jacob Falso, 31 of Freeville, New York.

Falso was indicted by a grand jury earlier this year on seven counts, including felony drug possession and eluding police.

The incident, which happened last October 11, began in Shenandoah County and continued southbound on I-81 until the suspect crashed his vehicle near Fairfield.
